At Lubbers’ Landing it’s all about new and fresh food and drinks. We decided it was time to add a new item to the drink menu so we stepped into the lab and put our lab coats on (the bar and board shorts). If you are unaware a blue hole is a natural wonder down here in Abaco that National Geographic has done a piece on. So we were inspired to use some local vibe and add a creative twist to it and what did we get, the Blue Hole! It’s a very refreshing drink on a hot day with a rum base, not to tart and not to sweet. You got to have rum in the islands! So next time your in the area be sure to stop by and try our new Blue Hole.

Although we do specialize in Abaco, Bahamas we always take use of our surroundings and seeing as we were visiting family out in the sticks for Christmas, we took full advantage of the setting. We found a local railroad track and were able to incorporate a unique look at who we are and what we do. Although our heart is on the water and all disciplines involved as a watermen, we each have a southern bone burried deep down in us.  As fun as it was taking creative shots and giving a unique look at who we are, it is time for us to head back to the rock and start our shoots on some of the most beautiful water in the world and we can’t wait. We also added a few photos from our shoot to our facebook page and added an album for each member of the crew so you can get to know us a little better. The other night we were fortunate enough to attend the the grand opening of the Void Lounge Party. This event will be held every Wednesday and Sunday night at the Nippers in Jacksonville, FL. This time however was the first one and was a blast with a huge turnout. We were able to meet plenty of people who love Nipper’s Abaco theme and were eager to see Lubbers’ Landing someday. It gave the feeling of home other than the unfortunate chilly temperatures. A thatch roof, outdoor bar, and a night boat ride to the party was just enough to have a piece of paradise in Jacksonville. All in all it was a great time, with awesome people, and killer drink specials.
